These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Ambigram Generator website at ambigramgenerator.co (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Use of Service
Ambigram Generator is a free, browser-based tool that lets you create rotational and mirror ambigrams from text you enter. The Service is provided "as is" for personal, commercial, and educational use, subject to the rules below.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others. You agree not to:
- Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, or harassing
- Infringe copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of any third party
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its hosting infrastructure
- Use automated scripts or bots to scrape or abuse the Service in a way that imposes unreasonable load
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service beyond what a browser normally exposes
2. Intellectual Property Rights
Your input and generated designs
The text you type into the generator belongs to you. The ambigram images you create with the Service are yours to use for personal, commercial, and educational projects, including tattoos, logos, and merchandise.
Important note on commercial use. Some fonts used by the Service (such as UnifrakturMaguntia, Great Vibes, and Montserrat) are licensed under the SIL Open Font License or similar terms. While you may freely use designs created with these fonts, you are responsible for confirming that a specific font allows your intended use - especially for trademark registration or large-scale commercial branding. Ambigram Generator does not guarantee that a generated design is unique, trademark-clear, or free from third-party claims.
The Service itself
The Ambigram Generator name, logo, website design, source code, and user interface are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, redistribute, or rebrand the Service without our written permission.
3. User Content
The Service does not require an account and does not store the text you enter or the designs you generate. All processing happens in your browser using HTML5 Canvas and SVG. Once you leave the page or close your browser, your input and generated designs are gone.
Because we do not store user content, we cannot recover lost designs. Please download your ambigram as PNG, SVG, or JPEG before closing the page if you want to keep it.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times
- Every word or phrase will produce a visually valid or readable ambigram
- Generated designs will be suitable for a specific purpose, such as tattooing, branding, or trademark registration
- Downloaded files will be free of defects or compatible with your software
You use the Service and any output at your own risk. It is your responsibility to review a generated design - especially before committing to a tattoo, a logo, or any permanent or commercial application.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ambigram Generator and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Service or any content generated through it, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data, business, or profits
- Costs related to tattoo removal, rebranding, or reprinting
- Claims of intellectual property infringement arising from your use of a generated design
- Damages from service interruptions, bugs, or incompatibility with third-party software
Because the Service is offered free of charge, our total liability to any user shall not exceed the amount you paid us to use the Service, which is zero.
6. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by closing your browser or navigating away from the site.
We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or discontinue the Service - or any part of it - at any time, with or without notice. We may also block access to users who violate these Terms or attempt to abuse the Service.
Because we do not maintain user accounts, termination of access does not require any action on your part, and no data is deleted because none is stored.
7. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically before using the Service.
Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
